It’s rough.

This week is the first week my site has gone live. I’m in the midst of adding my resources and figuring out my aesthetic and how I convey my therapeutic work. While I do not have too much to say at this point, I thought I would say: its rough. And I’m okay with it.

Often times we try to convey something ‘perfectly’ the first time we experience a feeling or an emotion or a thought. However, when it comes to taking into consideration the persons who receive our message, it’s best to reflect on what our initial impressions may mean and how they may impact the other person. Our reflexive and autonomic aspects, bodily and culturally, do not always aid in our ability to convey our complex experiences and the nuance of any given situation. When creating something like a website, song, or sketch, it tends to be rough. I know I will most likely continue to go through iterations of rough drafts of my website. Fingers crossed it will, at the very least, I hope some my collection of resources and thoughts can be of help.
